Ace Anodizing was approached by Accurate Perforating Company, Inc., to provide the anodizing of solid, corrugated and perforated sheets for the building exterior of the Legacy Charter School in Chicago, IL. This custom construction project consisted of over 1700 sheets of 3003-H14 aluminum in various sizes. Special requirements called for no visible rack marks or run off. All parts required a uniform, unobstructed finish. In addition, parts were processed and shipped in phases. This required tightly controlled cosmetic criteria from lot to lot in order to maintain a uniform appearance of the finished building exterior.

204 R1 clear anodizing was specified with an architectural seal to protect the finish and provide lightfast and wear characteristics for an exterior application. Over 1700 pieces were finished, fully sealed, packaged to the customer’s specifications and shipped to meet all project installation deadlines.
